Formulas of boating tour
"Au fil de l'eau"
For all our boating tours, the hiring of the barge, fuel, the maintenance of the boat, water supply, various fees, insurances, heating if necessary are inclusive. Bed sheets, towels and any household appliances are provided.
You may go to all the parts of the barge except the barge's living quarters reserved for the crew.
In the kitchen you will find:
- 4 refrigerators,
- 1 coffee machine,
- 1 cooker,
- 1 traditional oven,
- 1 microwave oven,
- 1 dishwasher.
In the living room:
- 1 stereo ,
- 1 piano
- 1 collection of books.
On the deck:
- 1 barbecue,
- tables,
- chairs,
- deckchairs and parasols.
Four bicycles are at your disposal.
A service of laundry is accessible once during the stay for your linens .
Taxis, restaurants, museums, ... , are extra in our formulas of cruising except those already included in the “OUTINGS” and “GOURMET” formulas.
Jacques and Sophie are skilled in the art of captaining, sailing, and crossing the locks. They know where to moor, to stop and to put in for the night. They can also advise you where to discover the historic heritage or enjoy gastronomic jaunts.
AU FIL DE L’EAU SUGGESTS THREE FORMULAS OF CRUISING:
The “B & B” f ormula
You rent the barge and his crew for a duration of 6 nights / 7 days.
You just have to relax, prepare lunch and dinner, and organize your outings. Each morning you have a copious breakfast.
The “OUTINGS” f ormula
Each morning, Sophie serves you a Continental breakfast .
Two outings are programmed during cruising.
On the first excursion, you discover the Museum of Shipping and to savour a delicious dinner in an excellent restaurant.
And on the second one, you visit a vineyard where you are welcome by the estate owner-winegrower who explains the various vinification processes of a wine from Burgundy. During the visit you taste various types of vines and then you may buy some bottles of vintage wines. In the evening you savour a delicious dinner in an excellent restaurant ( with the stamp of quality “Logis de France” ) and later you take a taxi to go back to the barge.
The “GOURMET” formula
A more complete option than the “OUTINGS” program, AU FIL DE L’EAU suggests 4 gastronomic jaunts in restaurants where you taste specialities of the soil with wines from Burgundy.
